Stonington Institute is committed to providing quality substance abuse treatment options for adultsin Southeastern Connecticut and surrounding areas. We offermedical detox aswell as residential addictions treatment for active duty and retiredmilitary service members in ourNorth Stonington location. Our clinic in Groton, CT, offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment, and is convenientlylocatedacross the street from The Inn at Trails Corner, a new 180 bed dormitory-style sober community for adult men and women who attend our outpatient day treatment programs. The Inn offers overnightaccommodations, full-meal service, indoor/outdoor recreation options, a workout room, andcomputercenter for all clients.We accept private insurance, state-fundedplansand self-pay arrangements.

Internship

Students will be supervised by a Licensed Clinician.They will have the opportunity to rotate through eachunit, working with thepopulation that we serve. Learn how our facility impactsthe community and participatein treatment teams with a multidisciplinary team approach.

Requirements:

Must be enrolled in a participating Master of Science in Human Services Program; Clinical Counseling; Social Work.
