The Opportunity:

The Senior Manager of Event Planning is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact corporate events that elevate the company's brand and support key business objectives. This role oversees a team of three event planners and serves as a key partner to the Vice President of Global Corporate Events in shaping the company's global event portfolio. The Senior Manager will ensure all events reflect corporate values, deliver measurable business outcomes, and maintain excellence in execution and attendee experience.

What Your Impact Will Be:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of event producers, ensuring alignment on priorities, workload balance, and professional growth.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Serve as a senior escalation point for complex projects, providing strategic direction and hands-on support.

Strategic Event Planning & Execution

  • Translate corporate objectives into strategic event plans that advance brand positioning, client engagement, and employee experience.
  • Partner with the VP of Global Corporate Events to develop and execute the annual event calendar, including executive meetings, conferences, summits, client experiences, and internal celebrations.
  • Oversee all phases of event management - from concept development and vendor selection to logistics, on-site operations, and post-event evaluation.
  • Ensure events are delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest standards of quality and brand consistency.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage and track event budgets across the global portfolio, ensuring fiscal discipline and maximizing ROI.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, securing favorable terms and service excellence.
  • Recommend cost efficiencies and process improvements that enhance the team's operational performance.

Stakeholder & Executive Collaboration

  • Serve as a strategic liaison between the event planning team, business unit leaders, and corporate functions including Marketing, Communications, HR, and Legal.
  • Provide regular updates and post-event reports to the VP of Global Corporate Events and other senior executives.
  • Ensure executive visibility and engagement across major internal and external events.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement best practices in event technology, sustainability, and attendee engagement.
  • Analyze post-event data and feedback to inform future planning and demonstrate business impact.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and apply innovative approaches to event design, hybrid engagement, and production.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in event strategy and production, including leadership of global or large-scale programs.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring creative and production teams.
  • Strong communication and executive presence; comfortable presenting to and collaborating with senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance creative innovation with operational precision and budget stewardship.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Passion for storytelling, design, and creating experiences that inspire audiences.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
