Agricultural Tech II Research

Coordinate field and greenhouse research activities and assist in managing the research and Extension program to assess the efficacy of integrated weed management practices in agronomic crops. Ensure timely and effective completion of field and greenhouse activities to facilitate Extension and research projects.

The Department of Agronomy, in collaboration with the Research and Extension Centers, provides statewide leadership for teaching, research, and extension activities in plant breeding, crop production, range science, soil science, and weed science, and contributes substantially to activities in genetics, water science, and environmental sciences.

This position is On-site.

Minimum Qualifications:

• One year of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. in agronomy or related field
• Experience in agronomic research
• Experience operating field equipment
• Experience using office and research management software
• Ability to work effectively with students and stakeholders
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload
• Ability to assess problems and develop creative solutions
• Attention to detail
• Commercial Driver's license

Additional Role Information:

• Valid driver's license
• Pesticide applicator's license (or ability to obtain)
