The Supply Chain Manager II is responsible for materials leadership at our manufacturing plant in West Chester, PA. The plant produces precision Brushless DC electric motors primarily for medical devices and aerospace & defense industries. The role involvesoperational and tactical decision-making to balance demand and supply across our Value Streams to ensure success for our customers and profitability for our business. Exceptional analytical capability, communication skills, leadership skills, and a continuous improvement mindset - as directed by our Regal Rexnord Business System - are necessary to succeed in this role.

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead and develop a team of buyer-planners.
  • Own the process flows. Oversee purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials and alignment with production schedules.
  • Ensures the efficient flow of goods, services, and information with suppliers and internal customers
  • Develop and implement purchasing and replenishment strategies aligned with production schedules and inventory requirements.
  • Champion the SIOP process for the site.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to ensure favorable outcomes for the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Team to ensure that our demand forecasts and customer orders remain accurate and in sync with the production schedule.
  • Develop and maintain a Plan for Every Part (PFEP) to ensure accurate part-level data for procurement and inventory planning.
  • Establish and manage supplier Kanban systems, including sizing and replenishment parameters to support lean material flow.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and right-sizing inventory to meet customer demand while remaining in line with inventory targets.
  • Drive a zero-shortage culture in the plant.
  • Identify, evaluate, and timely escalate supply chain risks (e.g., supplier performance issues, geopolitical, environmental, or economic).
  • Work closely with our Sourcing Team to manage vendors and enable Manufacturing to execute the production schedule.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure consistent supply and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Use the Regal Rexnord Business System to continuously improve our processes.
  • Owns site purchasing & related KPI's. Prepares & presents all relevant data to leadership

COMPETENCIES:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Engineering field or equivalent
  • Master's in Business Administration or Operations Management or related field preferred
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • 5 years of supply chain experience
  • Experience with Oracle MRP software strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a Quality Management System preferred (e.g., ISO9001, AS9100)
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience preferred
  • CPIM certification preferred
