Materials Supervisor | Royal Truck Body | Nashville, TN

Regular Employee | Salary Exempt

Overview

As the Materials Supervisor for Royal Truck Body (Aebi Schmidt Group) in Lebanon, TN, you will oversee the efficient flow of materials from suppliers to storage and production. You'll drive continuous improvement in material handling, ensuring compliance with processes, strong visual management, effective Kanban use, and proper point-of-use stocking. In this fast-paced environment, you'll lead and develop the materials team while supporting a high-performance culture.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead all material ordering, distribution, storage, and direction of the material handling associates as well as the material leads.
  • Schedule body assembly and upfit using visual management/scheduling methods such as Kanbans.
  • To communicate effectively with all team members including cross-functional teams, internal customers, and external suppliers
  • Work cross-functionally with the manufacturing CI/Engineering teams to ensure optimal delivery routes and the visual management systems to support assembly processes.
  • Lead all physical inventory activities, including validation, storage, settlement, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Consistently maintain accurate inventory levels for all raw materials.
  • Manage incoming chassis, finished goods inventory, equipment and fleet activities while right sizing the fleet for the business.
  • Support inbound freight and logistics support.
  • Manage team member activities including, but not limited to, vacation approvals, timecard approvals, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.


Qualifications
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience to demonstrate full capabilities required.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a Lean Manufacturing Environment.
  • On-going commitment to drive Continuous Improvements through visual Management and problem solving.
  • Proficient in MS Office and PC network applications.
