Position Summary: Individuals are responsible for transforming concepts into tangible prototypes that can be tested and refined. This role requires a blend of creativity, technical skills, and precision.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Create high-fidelity prototypes using various materials, equipment, and hand tools with limited direction or instruction. Prototypes may take the form of illustration, photo, video, boards, non-functional product, functional product, package, or kits.
  • Adapt prototyping techniques and re-invent them to bring new ideas to life. Gather feedback to refine prototypes and ensure they meet user needs & design specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with product designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand design requirements and iterate on prototypes based on feedback.
  • Problem-Solve prototyping challenges to identify and suggest improvements to product designers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Apply knowledge of consumer pain points and unmet needs to refine concepts and prototypes.
  • Manage goals and timelines for self and others assigned to project. Requires strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Support leadership events including content creation, set-up, and takedown of event displays.
  • Mentor new team members and other prototypers assigned to their project.

    Required Experience:


  • Prototype construction at this level requires extensive knowledge of a wide range of standard techniques with the ability to adapt them and create new techniques without assistance.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (Outlook, OneNote, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Possess the ability to operate, set-up, calibrate and tailor equipment settings to achieve desired results. This includes but is not limited to ultra-sonic bonders, die cutting equipment, embossing equipment, heat sealing equipment, scales, sewing machines, cameras, lighting, and printers.
  • Be qualified to be project managers and lead clean room studies.
