Work Schedules Standard Business Hours (Monday - Friday).

The Accountant will join an expanding Accounting Team, taking on a lead role in complex financial reporting and process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to

*Lead and manage the daily general ledger and complex journal entries, ensuring adherence to accounting journal entry/bookkeeping knowledge.

*Process monthly and year-end closings, preparing and participating in internal and external audits.

*Analyze and report financial figures to executive management using strong Microsoft Excel skills.

*Oversee and train junior staff on general accounting procedures and compliance.

*Assist with the client's internal managerial accounting tasks.

*Master a wide range of tasks, including complex bonus calculations, gross-up, and payroll processing, preferably using platforms like Paylocity.

*Proactively seek continuous improvement of tasks and accounting processes.

*Participate, contribute, and handle various corporate activities focusing on deeper thinking, value exchange, and constant improvement.

Qualifications

Required

*Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

*Minimum of 3 years of progressive corporate accounting experience.

*Must possess strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).

*Solid knowledge and experience with general ledger, month-end close, and preparing financial statements.

*A sincere and honest professional with a positive personality and a cooperative, non-overly assertive demeanor.

*Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, growing company environment.

*Bilingual Japanese and English skills (Japanese - reading and writing)

*Ability to adapt quickly to in-house systems and proprietary accounting software.

*Experience or comfort level with a structured, Japanese-style corporate culture that includes frequent internal events and competitions.

Preferred

*Experience in the manufacturing or similar high-tech industry.

*Experience with Paylocity payroll system or similar complex payroll processing.

*Experience in a senior or lead capacity.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
