Position Summary

Trideum is seeking a Lead Technical Manager to oversee multiple technical support areas within the Materiel Test Directorate at White Sands Missile Range. This position provides leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for teams supporting test planning, test execution, technical documentation, data and software analysis, and classified/unclassified data management for missile and sensor test programs.

This role requires strong management capability, technical depth, and the ability to synchronize several cross-functional teams supporting complex test operations.

What You'll Do



  • Leadership & Coordination

    • Lead and coordinate multiple technical teams supporting engineering, test operations, data analysis, software analysis, and documentation efforts.
    • Ensure staffing, training, and resource allocation meet mission needs and government schedules.
    • Serve as the primary interface for technical collaboration with government personnel, test customers, and contractor partners.
    • Ensure team performance meets technical, quality, and schedule requirements


  • Test Engineering & Technical Support

    • Oversee preparation and review of test documentation including detailed test plans, system specifications, safety-related inputs, and mission-support documents
    • Support and guide teams participating in test planning meetings, readiness reviews, working groups, and technical integration forums.
    • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of test results, incident descriptions, test condition analysis, and technical observations.
    • Monitor real-time and post-test execution to identify deviations and support government decision-making.


  • Data, Documentation & Classified Material Oversight

    • Direct teams responsible for collection, transport, processing, and secure storage of classified and unclassified test data.
    • Oversee the creation, formatting, and quality control of technical reports, analysis products, and classified documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with data protection procedures within classified Open Storage Areas and during travel to remote or OCONUS test locations.
    • Manage and support technical collaboration and data reviews, including live-edit sessions and multi-organization analysis reviews


  • Software Test & Analysis Support

    • Provide management oversight for teams performing software requirements analysis, documentation review, traceability assessments, and evaluation of software design and developer tests.
    • Ensure accurate monitoring and analysis of software test results, failure modes, and safety-related findings.
    • Oversee the development of methodology investigations and documentation supporting improvements in software testing and evaluation processes.
    • Ensure timely submission of Software Trouble Reports, safety-related recommendations, and technical findings.


  • Program Administration & Compliance

    • Maintain compliance with OPSEC, security, cyber, training, and safety requirements.
    • Manage coordination of foreign national access requirements when needed.
    • Lead or support In-Process Reviews, stakeholder engagements, and government-directed reporting.
    • Forecast and manage surge requirements, overtime needs, and schedule-driven adjustments.




Requirements and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, physical sciences, or related technical discipline-or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience includes possessing at least 8 years of experience of the following: serving in progressive technical positions, managing/overseeing technical teams, stakeholder engagement, and management of complex projects to include resource allocation and performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing technical staff, fostering professional growth, and cultivating a team culture centered on learning and improvement.
  • Strong understanding of government processes, compliance requirements, and DoD test operations.
  • Experience in technical writing, engineering documentation, test reporting, or software analysis.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across government and industry.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent technical areas.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • US citizenship and an active Top Secret security clearance.
