Job Description

This non-exempt (hourly) position is responsible for onboarding complex loans and ensuring the accuracy of data entered into the core system. This individual will participate in the testing of core systems to ensure upgrades are implemented successfully. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform new loan input and second review of retail loans, including those of higher complexity.
- Complete new loan disbursement in accordance with loan documentation, including disbursement checks and wires. Upon request, review and approve wires utilizing Cash Trac.
- Participate in system testing as needed. Testing could include Jack Henry Associates annual release testing, testing of new systems such as CRIF Select, Loan Origination System upgrades, and Interface upgrades.
- Adhere to level two standards for productivity and accuracy.
- Interpret advanced retail loan documents to accurately book loan transactions in a timely manner.
- Promptly cancel loans booked in error.
- Review daily exception reports ensuring accuracy of new loan input, including parameter code
- maintenance.
- Process mortgage loan deferments and modifications.
- Input balanced and accurate transactions to customer and general ledger accounts.
- Practice and uphold basic loan accounting standards.
- Respond to customer and lender inquiries in a timely manner.
- Provide training on team processes utilizing department procedures. Maintain and update procedures to ensure they reflect current processes and regulatory changes.
- Assess issues, assist with resolution and determine when they require escalation.
- Identify processes that require modification and contribute to solutions and enhancements that impact efficiencies.

- Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Conduct and complete additional assignments/projects as designated by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum one year of Loan Operations experience required.
- Must be professional, comfortable speaking with external and internal contacts with a demonstrated ability to tailor the message appropriately to the audience and situation effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to convey thoughts and ideas effectively and succinctly via written formats, including emails, letters, and electronic platforms. Maintain professional standards relating to spelling and grammar.
- Maintain credibility through professional demeanor, appearance, and presence by modeling standards appropriate to our environment and industry.
- Maintain good working relationships with internal partners by exhibiting exemplary interpersonal skills, adopting a constructive, solutions-focused approach.
- Use sound professional judgment to balance the interests of the organization and customer, understanding and using available resources to mitigate risks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products and applications, including the ability to effectively prepare or review documents, procedures, and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and applications, as well as the ability to understand, adapt and adjust responsibilities/workflows as a result of system upgrades.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and escalate unexpected technical issues to management. Recommend solutions to resolve system issues as needed.
- Knowledge of Financial Processing core systems preferred.
- Occasional travel to other First American Bank locations, Bank functions and training facilities may be required. Remote work allowed.
- Typical scheduled hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required depending upon business need.
