What the day will look like

Project Fulfillment

Working with forensic accountants, actuaries, forensic cyber experts, and reporting to the Valuations practice leader, the Associate Director will:

  • Act as project leader on assigned projects working with Consultants and Senior Consultants
  • Conduct final peer reviews of client deliverables
  • Lead and initiate client calls
  • Support senior consultants' and consultants' work reviewing and analyzing clients' financial data
  • Review and analyze clients' supply chain data and business continuity plans
  • Draw conclusions and identify areas in need of further exploration with respect to Business Interruption values and exposures
  • Review and analyze clients' business models and processes based on years of direct experience
  • Work with clients to identify vulnerabilities and quantify potential financial impacts from property events based on Associate Director level expertise.
  • Lead interviews of personnel within clients' business including people from Operations, Finance, Business Continuity Management, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Logistics and Procurement
  • Extrapolate information from interviews and data reviewed, and analyze consultants' & senior consultants' Desktop BI Values and/or Business Impact Analysis methodology workbooks for accuracy of Business Interruption values and Maximum Foreseeable Loss exposures
  • Prepare process/supply chain flow maps in Power BI, Business Impact Analysis workbooks and PowerPoint/Word Doc Executive Summaries of the workbooks for presentation to clients.
Business Development & Administration

Business development of Valuation offerings (Desktop BI Valuations, Business Impact Analyses, and Supply Chain Mapping in Power BI). Specifically:

  • Proposal writing and follow up
  • Cross-sell other CPAV services including Claims Preparation and Rapid Response.
  • Develop a rapport with AE's and property brokers to market valuation projects
  • Support CPAV overall initiatives for institutionalization into other areas of Commercial Risk - internationally and other practice groups (CSG, FSG, Industry Practices, etc.)
  • Develop, participate and join organizations to further develop business and networking
  • Continuous improvement of processes and template for maximum efficiencies on projects
  • Project Lifecycle maintenance (start dates, end dates, budgets, etc.).
  • Present at least 1 industry event communicating the valuations team's capabilities and expertise
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • BA or BS in accounting or finance required
  • Certified Public Accountant preferred or pursuing same
  • Proficiency with Excel / Microsoft Office applications
  • 6-10 years accounting, forensic accounting or related property insurance experience
  • Travel is expected and likely required (pandemic protocols permitting)
  • Flexibility, confidence and maturity to work remotely

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000 to $175,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
