About the Opportunity: We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineering Co-op to gain hands-on experience in our advanced aerospace manufacturing environment. You'll work with engineers and production teams on process improvement, tooling, and lean initiatives that enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.
This role is ideal for students passionate about precision machining, process optimization, and modern manufacturing technologies in the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Investigate cutting edge manufacturing technology solutions and make business cases to implement them at our site. Implementing includes training, monitoring and supporting our manufacturing staff
- Support process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize manufacturing workflows.
- Assist engineers in developing and updating process documentation, such as work instructions, setup sheets, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Work alongside the Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to implement lean initiatives, such as Kaizen, and value stream mapping.
- Assist with time studies and process capability assessments to improve productivity and part consistency.
- Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to ensure manufacturing processes meet design intent, specifications, and AS9100 requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on cost reduction, scrap reduction, and throughput improvement.
- Learn to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and aerospace specifications to support manufacturing process decisions.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma and be actively enrolled in an accredited University.
- 1-2 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Physical Requirements:
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment (Safety Glasses & Safety Shoes).
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
