Genesis10 is seeking a Sr. Mainframe Developer. This is an 8-month contract position with a client located in Brooklyn, OH. This hybrid role requires 2-3 days in office per week. Compensation: $60.00/HR W2 W2 candidates only, please. No Corp to Corp, please Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe Developer to lead mission-critical initiatives, maintain legacy systems, and drive innovation across our enterprise applications. Responsibilities: Design, develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM and DB2. Lead and oversee the modernization of legacy systems while ensuring business continuity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and resolve issues. Perform detailed impact analysis, develop functional specs, and contribute to high-level architecture. Guide and mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing across teams. Ensure quality and performance through rigorous testing, debugging, and optimization. Maintain compliance with enterprise security, auditing, and data privacy standards. Requirements: Deep expertise in mainframe technologies Strong analytical thinking, and a passion for mentoring and technical leadership. Minimum 15 years of hands-on experience in mainframe application development. Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and mainframe utilities. Expertise in batch and online processing environments. Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, SonarQube) in mainframe pipelines. Familiarity with containerization or cloud migration strategies Track record of modernization initiatives (e.g., API integrations, cloud enablement). Financial services, insurance, or government sector experience a plus. Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
