Global Marketing Analytics (GMA) Team empowers Marketers and Marketing Leadership to confidently make decisions and answer questions with data. We do this by building foundational data reporting and operations frameworks, self-serve tools, conducting advanced statistical analysis and providing Marketers with clear enablement (documentation, training and a Slack help channel). We approach our work with agile principles, ensuring scalability, and building trust through strong governance and security.

We are seeking a talented Marketing Visualization Analyst to contribute to our efforts in transforming complex marketing data into clear and actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of analytics, a keen eye for design, and the ability to communicate complex data visually. The Marketing Visualization Analyst will play a key role in developing compelling and insightful visualizations to support marketing decision-making. This role is hybrid and will work out of the San Francisco office three days a week.

A successful candidate will be passionate about best-in-class measurement, possess strong technical analytical skills, understand the critical value of enablement, and demonstrate the ability to draw out and distill key requirements from stakeholders while actively listening to all parties.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Develop and maintain marketing data visualizations and dashboards to help the marketing team make impactful decisions and understand the overall health of their business

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing teams, data scientists, and IT professionals, to gather requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.

  • Utilize Tableau and other relevant tools to create datasets that power effective marketing dashboards, reports, and presentations.

  • Develop and maintain a library of reusable data visualization components, ensuring data accuracy and integrity in visualization projects.

  • Create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for all dashboards, datasets, and reporting processes.

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and data engineering, driving efforts to build new data pipelines where necessary

  • Stay informed on industry best practices and trends related to data visualization and marketing analytics, implementing new tools and techniques to improve our visualization capabilities.

  • Optimize and enhance existing visualizations for performance and usability.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure data accuracy and integrity in visualization projects

  • Analyze marketing data to identify trends, correlations, and opportunities and transform this information into impactful data visualizations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Tableau desktop, Tableau prep (complex calculations, parameters, and LOD expressions as well as data preparation, blending, and aggregation)

  • Advanced SQL skills: Proficient in writing complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data

  • Familiarity with data modeling tools, collaborative environments, and version control

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex data insights visually.

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong time management skills

  • Ability to work independently while prioritizing multiple projects and tasks

  • Familiarity with Enterprise sales and marketing practices in a B2B environment nice to have

  • Familiarity with marketing practices, marketing KPIs, marketing analytics is a plus

  • Experience with Salesforce products nice to have

  • A portfolio showcasing previous data visualization and marketing analytics projects is advantageous

Experience:

  • Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).

  • Proven experience (2+ years) in data visualization
