About Salesforce

Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, where humans with agents drive customer success together. Here, ambition meets action. Tech meets trust. And innovation isn't a buzzword - it's a way of life. The world of work as we know it is changing and we're looking for Trailblazers who are passionate about bettering business and the world through AI, driving innovation, and keeping Salesforce's core values at the heart of it all.

Ready to level-up your career at the company leading workforce transformation in the agentic era? You're in the right place! Agentforce is the future of AI, and you are the future of Salesforce.

The Vice President, Workforce Intelligence is a pivotal senior leadership role within our Employee Success function - responsible for defining and executing the strategic vision for how Salesforce uses data, research, and technology to optimize the employee experience and drive organizational success. This leader will look years ahead, anticipating shifts in workforce dynamics to establish a clear, compelling point of view. This role requires a rare blend of strategic acumen, technical depth, and disciplined prioritization to ensure the Workforce Intelligence team remains focused on highest-value opportunities that directly impact employee outcomes and Salesforce's business objectives.

You will lead a large, multi-disciplinary organization with team members who blend data science, advanced analytics, AI, product design, and HR strategy skills and partner closely with the Chief People Officer, Digital & IT Officer, Customers, Product leaders and ES Leadership. Success requires translating our strategic vision into clear, actionable roadmaps, influencing senior executives across the company, and maintaining a high bar for technical excellence and analytical rigor. The ideal candidate is an expert in leveraging insights from organizational behavior, advanced analytics, and cutting-edge technology to design and implement scalable, data-driven solutions that enhance employee experience, productivity, and key talent retention globally.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Vision & Thought Leadership:
  • Develop and evangelize a compelling 3-5 year strategic vision for Workforce Intelligence, anticipating future trends in analytics, AI/machine learning, user interfaces, engineering infrastructure, and the evolving nature of work and employee experience.

  • Serve as the key subject matter expert on organizational science, workforce trends, and analytical best practices, radiating a point of view across the Employee Success leadership team and the broader company.

  • Lead the translation of this strategic vision into a clear, phased product roadmap, securing cross-functional alignment and resource commitment.

Disciplined Prioritization & Stakeholder Influence:
  • Maintain a framework for disciplined prioritization, meticulously evaluating all incoming requests and opportunities against a defined set of high-value strategic objectives for the Employee Success function and Salesforce.

  • Act as the primary interface with senior executive stakeholders, effectively negotiating and persuading them to focus resources on the most impactful initiatives and strategically deferring or declining lower-value activities.

  • Ensure the team's capacity is consistently aligned with the highest-impact business problems, maximizing return on investment.

Technical & Organizational Leadership:
  • Provide executive oversight and deep subject matter expertise across the team's core domains: human behavior, organizational science, advanced analytics, research methods, HR strategy and consulting, and product design.

  • Lead and develop a large, diverse team of technical professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, research rigor, ethical data use, and product-driven execution.

  • Cultivate seamless and high-trust collaborative partnerships with teams inside and outside of Employee Success, ensuring the seamless integration of Workforce Intelligence products with employee processes and workflows.

  • Ensure all analytical products and insights are accurate, ethical, action-oriented, and delivered through scalable, modern means.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's or PhD in a field related to organizational research and analytics (e.g., I/O Psychology, Sociology, Organizational Behavior, Management, Public Policy)

  • 15 years experience leading complex projects that blend advanced analytics, research, technology development, product management, and corporate strategy - ideally, a significant portion of this experience has been within or directly supporting HR functions

  • Very strong stakeholder management and negotiation/persuasion skills, with a proven track record of influencing executive decision-making, especially concerning the prioritization of limited resources

  • Expertise in the technical ecosystem of workforce data, including data visualization tools, survey and feedback platforms, methods for cleaning and organizing data, and advanced statistical analysis

  • Demonstrated experience with process optimization and workflow automations within a corporate environment

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to simplify complex data and research findings, share cohesive and actionable insights, and influence stakeholders at all levels
