What You'll Be Doing

  • Lot Leadership: Oversee daily lot operations before and after sales, ensuring everything runs like a well-oiled machine.
  • Team Supervision: Lead check-in staff, lane captains, and drivers with confidence-setting schedules, assigning duties, and keeping workflows smooth.
  • Vehicle Flow Mastery: Coordinate the movement of vehicles from check-in to sale lanes, making sure each one is parked, tracked, and ready to roll.
  • Customer Champion: Deliver top-notch service and resolve issues with professionalism and care.
  • Equipment Guru: Keep lot equipment in tip-top shape and ready for action.
  • Damage Control: Monitor lot damage and collaborate with the Operations Manager to nip problems in the bud.
  • Cross-Team Collaborator: Work with Reconditioning, Fleet/Lease, and Factory teams to prep vehicles for sale.
  • Performance Coach: Help manage and develop your team-think scheduling, feedback, and performance reviews.
  • Safety Leader: Model and enforce safety excellence in partnership with the Market Safety Manager.
  • Efficiency Strategist: Monitor staffing levels, review KPIs, and execute improvement strategies.
  • Culture Builder: Lead by example, champion company values, and foster a respectful, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field (automobile industry or the Auction business). The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 3 years' experience in a related field; a master's degree and 1 year of experience; or a Ph.D. and up to 1 year of experience
  • Requires competent supervisory and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interaction skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
  • Good computer and software knowledge
  • Valid driver's License and good driving record required with the ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission


Preferred

  • Degree in related discipline strongly desired


USD 54,200.00 - 81,200.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $54,200.00 - $81,200.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
