Flexstaff is hiring a fulltime 2nd shift Sanitation Supervisor to join their client's team. Based in Secaucus, New Jersey FlexStaff is seeking a Manufacturing - Warehouse Sanitation Supervisor to provide support to the Sanitation Manager and various members of Production Department.
Salary: 65,000-72,000
2nd shift: 3:30-p.m to 11:30p.m ( occasional weekends as needed)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the training and performance of assigned staff; implement job-related training to eliminate food safety risks; coach, mentor, motivate and supervise direct reports to maximize operational success.
- Continuously verifies/validates sanitation effectiveness and propose better ways to clean/sanitize, maximizing results and minimizing cost.
- Updates sanitation standard operating procedures (SSOP) and recommends adjustments to schedules, procedures, sanitation practices to Sanitation Manager for review.
- Follow up the Sanitation Master Schedule, make sure all the activities are completed according to the assigned frequency and maintain daily reports archive.
- Implements and reports corrective actions of sanitation violations cited in internal monthly inspections and pre-operational reports.
- Responsible for performing monthly inventory of sanitation supplies.
- Responsible to follow up pest control observation and make an internal pest control, walk through and keep records.
- Verify equipment cleaning and Perform ATP, AllerSnap and Gluten ToxPro tests when needed. Keep the records/files up to date.
- Inspect machinery parts to make sure there is no damage or broken parts that might cause a food safety issue.
- Experience with BRC or other GFSI schemes. Oversees and assists the preparation for the BRCSG audits, working together with the Sanitation Manager to have all the files, books and programs in compliance with the policies and maintain the facility "inspection-ready"
- Communicate with other departments about work schedule and expectations.
- Conducts safety, sanitation and GMP compliance inspections, maintains sanitation schedule and required daily documentation.
- Supervision of 2nd shift crew and responsible for closing the building, conducting daily walkthrough to make sure all the entry access are properly locked.
- Supervise that the visitors policy is followed by all the employees and ensure on a daily basis that the Visitor Register Book has all the entries completed and times signed.
- Promote safety in the workplace; support and enforce the facility's safety program and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedure on daily basis and train affected employees accordingly.
Knowledge and Skills:
The position requires a team player with excellent interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and detail oriented. The candidate must be well organized, sensitive to handling confidential information and self-driven. Capable of effectively managing multiple tasks.
Education and Experience:
Associates or bachelor's degree in food science, Business or Chemistry and 2 to 5 years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer skills. Knowledge of HACCP, AIB, SQF or BRCGS standards, chemical handling and environmental testing preferred.
