Position Summary

The Senior Director, Digital Forensics & Investigations, is responsible for developing and leading the company's global digital forensics and investigations program. This role will provide strategic direction and oversight for forensic and investigative activities across cyber incidents, insider threats, fraud, and policy violations, while partnering closely with Human Resources, Legal, and Corporate Security. The Senior Director will ensure that all forensic practices adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and legal standards for defensible evidence handling. This position requires a proven leader with deep technical expertise, excellent judgment, and the ability to build and guide a high-performing global team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Establish and oversee the enterprise digital forensics and investigations program, including governance, policies, and standard operating procedures.

  • Direct and conduct advanced digital forensic investigations to support cybersecurity incidents, insider threat cases, compliance inquiries, fraud, and litigation matters.

  • Partner with Human Resources, Legal, and Corporate Security to manage investigations related to employee misconduct, intellectual property theft, and other corporate risks.

  • Provide executive-level reporting and investigative summaries to senior leadership and boards, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of forensic tools and technologies across endpoints, mobile devices, cloud environments, and networks.

  • Ensure secure evidence handling, preservation, and chain of custody practices in accordance with international standards and applicable laws.

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including law enforcement and outside counsel, when necessary.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a global team of forensic analysts and investigators, fostering professional growth and operational excellence.

  • Monitor emerging technologies, regulations, and best practices to ensure the program remains current and effective.

Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, Criminal Justice, or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred.

Preferred Certifications
  • Certified Computer Examiner (CCE)

  • Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE)

  • GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA)

  • GIAC Advanced Smartphone Forensics (GASF)

  • EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE)

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

Work Experience
  • Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive experience in digital forensics, incident response, or cyber investigations.

  • Minimum of 7 years in a leadership role managing forensic or investigative functions in a global enterprise environment.

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with HR, Legal, and Corporate Security on sensitive investigations.

  • Hands-on experience with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Cellebrite, and Magnet Axiom, as well as emerging cloud/SaaS forensic methodologies.

  • Proven ability to communicate complex forensic findings in a clear, concise, and actionable manner to executives, boards, and non-technical stakeholders.

The preference is for candidates to be located within a reasonable distance of our Conshohocken, PA or Carrollton, TX offices. However, individuals in other locations will also be considered. Those not based near a primary site should expect to travel to these locations as needed.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
