We are looking for a Render Technician Assistant for a 9-month onsite engagement in Beaverton, OR. We are seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic individual for our Global retail client to join a high-performing team focused on the intricate world of digital asset rendering and pipeline management. In this essential role, you will be the backbone of their rendering operations, ensuring seamless execution, impeccable quality, and timely delivery of visual assets that captivate audiences worldwide. Your expertise will directly influence the visual fidelity and production efficiency of high-profile projects, ensuring that every rendered output meets the highest standards of excellence and contributes to a stunning final product. Responsibilities
- Drive Rendering Excellence. You will manage and optimize render queue operations, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs for production and quality control checkpoints. Your proactive troubleshooting and optimization efforts will keep projects on track and visually stunning.
- Streamline Production Pipelines. Coordinate render schedules, maintain meticulous documentation of workflows, and ensure consistent naming conventions and output directories, fostering a smooth and efficient production environment.
- Ensure Asset Integrity: Validate visual fidelity, file formats, resolution specifications, and metadata compliance for all assets. You'll ensure assets are properly versioned, tagged, and stored according to governance standards, safeguarding the integrity of every digital creation.
- Facilitate Asset Flow: Manage internal and external file transfers, publish completed renders, and uphold robust backup protocols, ensuring seamless access and archival for all critical assets.
- Support Quality Assurance: Prepare render outputs for review sessions, including labeling, playlist creation, and annotations, and proactively flag any visual inconsistencies or artifacts for follow-up.
- Integrate Vendor Assets: Ingest finalized vendor-delivered computer-generated assets into the render pipeline, configure settings, and monitor the queue to ensure timely publishing and availability for check-in.
- Track & Resolve: Log render parameters, contributor information, and output locations, while flagging and coordinating resolutions for any discrepancies or missing components in vendor deliveries.
- Empower Creative Teams: Gather and organize supporting assets like reference imagery, textures, geometry, and caches, aiding producers and artists in their creative process and ensuring audit readiness.
Qualifications * 1+ year of experience as a render wrangler or render technician. This can include school projects, class experience, or internships, as this is an entry-level role designed for growth.
* Familiarity with Unreal Engine.
* Experience with render farms, such as Deadline or other data farm managing systems.
* Experience with Autodesk, Flow, or ShotGrid for task tracking, asset delivery coordination, and review session setup is a nice-to-have.
* Proficiency with Blender for asset validation, geometry preparation, launching render jobs, and resolving compatibility issues is a nice-to-have.
* Familiarity with Python or scripting to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows is a nice-to-have. #LI-AJ The target hiring compensation range for this role is $20 to $26.67/HR.
