Material Handling Operator

Here's what you'd do:

• Accepts incoming goods and compares them with the shipping document (Material number, description, quantity).
• Checks incoming goods for visible damage, documents them and provides the information if needed.
• Takes care of the correct use of transport equipment (hand-guided industrial trucks, forklifts, etc.).
• Captures relevant data in data processing systems.
• Arranges the acceptance, storage, commissioning and removal of goods in the storage area and records them in the appropriate systems.
• Organises regular stock maintenance and inventory in the storage area.
• Assembles deliveries from given storage compartments and reviews them for completeness and accuracy (quantity and article number regarding the respective delivery notes).
• Completes packaging of deliveries regarding shipping instructions, standard methods of dispatch, types of packaging and other instructions (e.g. Dangerous Goods) in the given framework.
• Adds the corresponding shipping documents to the outgoing goods.
• Completes transport inside and, if applicable, outside the premises with professional usage of appropriate means of transportation.
• Selects from among clear choices based upon defined procedures and practices, to address changing work situations appropriately.
• Thinking and portfolio of acting options cover several routines, and latitude is permitted to address topics with appropriate processes.
• Unexpected situations, however, typically need technical assistance or authorisation.
• Positions must cope effectively with multiple-choice situations in several assigned processes and routines.
• Thinking is about applying or even adapting the "right" procedure to a process or an issue arising.
• Deliver a full range of services in a defined and focused technical or administrative work area.
• At the same time, clear input/output relations and generic and work-specific guidelines and procedures are given or available.
• Position operates major parts or the full spectrum of specialised software packages.
• Incumbents may handle routine and non-complex practical enquiries and procedures from internal or external customers.
• In Technical Customer Services: Service group worker, serving the internal and external customers with technical or administrative standardised services and processes to complete or add to the delivery according to the agreed-upon service level.
• The position operates with a dedicated, limited range of user interfaces or functionalities in standardised software programs strictly related to its specific processes.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $18.70 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week. (2nd shift).

Length: Temp (11 months).
