Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Crystal City, VA. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The client is a corporate meeting facility in Crystal City, Arlington, VA, that supports meetings and events for senior customers (including CEO level), senior military, government officials, international delegations, and industry and association meetings.
  • The GVC is a world-class meeting and collaboration facility designed to showcase the values and capabilities of the client while enabling employees and customers to build and enhance customer relationships.
  • The meetings and events supported in the GVC range in size from one to 180 people.
  • The GVC supports both internal and external meetings.
  • In addition to the GVC conference room, there are four Demonstration Centers within the facility, focused on the four client business areas.
  • The GVC's role with the Demo Centers is to work with the Demo Center managers to bridge our meetings with their centers and to coordinate any tours of their spaces.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact within the GVC for assigned events and meetings.
  • Responsible for working directly with the event POC to identify specific event requirements (the 5 W's of meeting planning) and keeping the online event system up to date with event requirements.
  • Anticipate customer requirements and help customers design the best meeting or event possible.
  • Coordinate event support with security, AV/IT, and facilities teams.
  • Responsible for briefing GVC staff and the cross-functional team on event requirements.
  • Responsible for the Day of support.
  • Arrive on-site with enough time to walk through the GVC spaces that have been reserved for your assigned event to make sure the room has been properly set up and to allow for time to make any necessary changes.
  • The room set up includes, but is not limited to, putting up room signage, setting out wireless login information, ensure trash has been removed from the previous day, ensure chairs have been pushed back in, ensure conference table has been wiped down, ensure there is no construction debris on the carpet, ensure general tidiness of the conference room, ensure the AV/IT tech arrives at the agreed upon time to set up AV/It requirements, meet meeting host to double check that they have everything they need, and ensure meeting participants know where to go and can access the GVC conference room.
  • At the conclusion of the meeting, reset the room to the default state.
  • Periodically check in with your customer during the day for any unexpected meeting requirements or event support items.
  • Work with Demo Center Managers if a portion of the GVC event is also taking place within a Demo Center.
  • Work with Demo Center Managers to coordinate Demonstration Center tours as needed.

Here's what you'll get:

  • Pay rate: $25.00/Hour
  • Hours: 20 hours/week
  • Length: Contract (6 Months)
