Responsibilities to Anticipate this Role
The Program Manager will be responsible for all day-to-day programmatic and fiscal management of all programs/projects. Must have a sharp business mind and proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. As a natural leader, this person should have strong talent for project coordination and delegation. Ultimately, the program manager should be motivated by a desire to optimize productivity and nurture program success from inception to completion.
- Identifying, managing, and resolving issues affecting multiple programs at the Grand Rapids, MI facility.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Identify and monitor risks to program achievement of critical milestones and deliveries (Cost, schedule and performance)
- Lead functional department input, develop and implement solutions (Program Plans) to address identified risks
- Lead cross functional teams in risk assessment activities to address all functional areas of the effort including Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Financial both internally and externally
- Monitor Program Execution through use of risk assessment, customer feedback and EVMS metrics to ensure cost, schedule, and performance is being met.
- Lead program execution direction to plant departments to include guidance in planning, budgeting and execution of all assigned Programs.
- Responsible for project cost, schedule and performance in support of monthly reviews with leadership
- Communicate forecasts to leadership, IE and planning for use in development of the OP Plan.
- Responsible for delivery orders and ETCs to ensure execution is within contractual and internal guidelines.
- Communicate with leadership any projects which are exceeding cost/schedule or performance requirements as set by the contract and assist departments developing resolution plans to correct any identified issues.
- Prepare and present program management updates as required to leadership.
- Serve as primary POC for all assigned programs and tasks
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or program/project management strongly preferred. Other disciplines will be considered with relevant experience.
- 7-10 years in program/project management required.
- PMP certification is strongly desired.
- Strong knowledge of program and project management execution.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of EVMS and financial reporting metrics.
- Knowledge of Engineering, Logistics support, supply chain management and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with proposal processes, development processes and contract administration.
- Superior leadership and communication skills required (verbal and written).
