Overview

This position supervises daily operations of the Commitment Desk to ensure the integrity of all submitted rate lock information. Oversees a team of associates who evaluate, process, and monitor rate lock requests or confirmations. Reviews investors' pricing sheets, updates pricing models, and communicates pricing to the appropriate parties. Provides direction on escalated and complex rate lock or pricing issues. Develops, maintains, and enforces department policies and procedures, reducing risk through management of an auditing pipeline.


Responsibilities

  • Operational Support - Manages the Commitment Desk's pending locks to ensure all submitted rate locks are locked accurately. Maintains an accurate locked pipeline by reviewing rate lock extensions and other price-related emails. Assists with the maintenance and development of pricing models and products. Provides feedback and coaching to bankers on rate lock accuracy, expiring locks, and adherence to applicable policies and procedures. Responsible for proper storage of notes and assists investor loan deliveries as needed.
  • Supervisory Functions - Assesses work of associates for accuracy, process improvements, and efficiencies. Develops and ensures compliance with department policies and procedures. Manages the training, evaluation, and development of assigned staff.
  • Auditing - Performs audits and corrections of loan data in preparation of reports. Reconciles expected pricing, making any necessary adjustments or corrections.
  • System Administration - Works closely with department manager to implement system changes, testing, and process flow enhancements.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience in Mortgage operations OR High School Diploma or GED and 9 years of experience in Mortgage operations

Skill(s): Encompass360 Bankers edition knowledge, Optimal Blue knowledge, Microsoft Excel

Preferred qualifications:

Secondary marketing experience

Leadership experience
