As a member of the University Counseling Center team, the Clinical Case Manager/Therapist is responsible for the assessment and delivery of case management, outpatient mental health services and community outreach services. These services include consultation, prevention services, crisis intervention and outreach support to faculty, staff and student organizations. This position oversees clinical case management needs and care coordination for inpatient psychiatry admissions and discharges as well as outpatient intensive care services. Job Duties and Responsibilities 
 Oversees the assessment, planning and coordinating of care for students navigating healthcare systems and community resources; assist students with psychosocial needs and connection to clinically appropriate servicesRefers students to off-campus clinical services for specialized treatment and/or long-term therapy as appropriateAssists in ensuring smooth transition from crisis intervention to case management; coordinates transition to local behavioral urgent care and/or emergency room when clinically recommendedConsults and collaborates with counselors, psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and administrators, including the Dean of Students office, to ensure continuity of care for hospitalized students; tracks, monitors and follows up on case management outcomes for disposition planning and management of students with mental health needsMonitors behavioral triage phone line dashboard to ensure the coordination of appropriate follow-up services for studentsEstablishes professional relationships and/or partnerships with external agencies and organizations via MOUs/formal agreements; maintains and coordinates updating of community referral databaseProvides outreach and education about UCC service offerings to campus partners, staff, faculty and student organizations via workshops, presentations, etc.Participate in student well-being committees and UCC initiativesConduct phone, in-person and/or virtual triage and wellness consultation and intake assessment appointmentsProvide psychotherapy/counseling services for students as individuals and/or in groups; offer crisis intervention services to students with clinical emergenciesUsing nationally and internationally recognized diagnostic systems, diagnose student and develop and implement treatment plans consistent with clinical diagnosisMaintain compliance with mandatory local, state and federal reporting laws and professional and ethical standards and guidelinesMaintain a knowledge of federal, state, and local mental health system and well-being resourcesKeep timely, accurate, and ethical records consistent with UCC policy Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marital and Family Therapy or Professional Counseling (or related degree) with training and experience with crisis intervention and case management; three years of related post-licensure experienceFull Clinical Licensure (LCSW, PhD/PsyD, LMFT, LPC)- State of Missouri or eligibility for Missouri licensure verified through active out-of-state licensure and an application currently in process with the Missouri licensing board.
