Position Summary:
The GMP Cleaning Associate II is part of a multi-tiered operations team dedicated to delivering medicine to patients globally. This role involves adhering to GSK culture principles by collaborating positively with team members and production support groups. Under the guidance of senior personnel, the GMP Cleaning Associate will perform cGMP cleaning tasks within the production suite and facility, interacting with electronic systems and data. Responsibilities include completing daily facility cleaning and readiness tasks, developing skills in various support areas, participating in safety and compliance initiatives, investigations, and assisting with technical and organizational problem-solving. The individual will work within these teams to enhance safety, quality, and schedule/cost performance

Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily tasks/cleaning (environmentally controlled areas ISO 7, ISO 8, etc.) per standard operating procedures and instructions to adhere to the facility cleaning program.

  • Document all activities clearly, accurately, and compliantly.

  • Prepare cleaning solutions and equipment required for cleaning and stock gowning room and cleaning closets with appropriate materials.

  • Learn the manufacturing/cleaning schedule and assess it daily to proactively ensure all cleaning equipment and necessary materials are adequate and available to set the team up for success.

  • Strive to develop and maintain a high level of competency with current and emerging digital platforms (MES, InfoLog, Infobatch, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality, etc.), as well as various cleaning and support operations.

  • Maintain a high level of mechanical and technical aptitude and training. Under the guidance of a supervisor, perform annual facility inspections.

  • Communicate with other personnel to ensure team alignment and that cleaning and production activities do not interfere with one another.

  • Adhere to all GSK safety guidelines and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Ability to work shifts supporting 24/7 operations.

  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in biological sciences, chemical sciences, engineering, or a related field.

  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

  • Experience with cleaning in a manufacturing or laboratory environment.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and document tasks accurately.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
