Position Description

Harmonia is seeking a talented and experienced SOC Project Manager to lead cybersecurity operations within a hybrid (on-premises and cloud-based) environment. The successful candidate will provide direction for SOC operations, coordinate incident response activities, and ensure the SOC is aligned with organizational and federal cybersecurity standards. This role requires a mix of strategic leadership, operational oversight, and hands-on technical expertise.

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee daily SOC operations to ensure timely and effective monitoring, detection, and response to cybersecurity threats.
  • Lead and manage a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering collaboration and performance excellence.
  • Develop and implement SOC policies, procedures, and response playbooks aligned with federal and industry standards.
  • Coordinate and manage cybersecurity incident response efforts, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
  • Collaborate with IT and cloud teams to enhance monitoring capabilities across hybrid infrastructures.
  • Conduct regular SOC performance reviews, audits, and maturity assessments to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats and technologies, ensuring proactive defense strategies.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership on SOC metrics, incidents, and improvements.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing a Security Operations Center (SOC) and leading cybersecurity incident response activities.
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity frameworks, risk management principles, and SOC technologies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire high performance in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience briefing senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to fast-changing cybersecurity challenges


Desired



  • Experience managing hybrid (on-premises and cloud-based) SOC environments.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) technologies.
  • Understanding of federal cybersecurity compliance standards and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence.
