| Description HOLT CAT in Waco, Texas is seeking a Field Service Paving Machine Mechanic with at least 2 years of paving construction equipment repair experience and an acceptable driving record. The Field Service Paving Technician travels throughout the Northern Region to provide face-to-face service to our customers located at off- and on-site locations and is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning of paving construction equipment. Essential Functions: 
  
 Performs repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervisionPerforms troubleshooting and diagnoses of equipment malfunctions and failuresRemoves and installs parts, disassembles and assembles components, and tests and adjusts assembliesRepairs and/or replaces components according to CAT standardsTests and verifies proper operation of all repairs and adjustmentsPrepares and completes all job-related documents, writes service reports, orders parts, and maintains clear customer records; in addition, accesses databases required to complete the job (work order, parts order, Vision Link, DBS, SimsSI, SIS web)Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates* Maintains service vehicle inspection records, daily inspections, and driver logs as required by the Department of TransportationAdheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulationsMaintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicles in good, clean, and working orderCommunicates job progress to supervisor and customer as neededComplete assigned jobs and tasks to meet/exceed flat rate times and re-do metric standardsWorks overtime as required by workload and customers' needsCompletes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training in a timely and proficient mannerProjects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearanceWorks safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardsRequires regular and punctual employee attendancePerforms other duties as assigned

 Education and Experience: 
  
 At least one year of paving construction equipment experience is required; three or more years preferredAcceptable driving record requiredMust own required tools to perform repairsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred
 Supervisory Responsibilities: Travel: 
  
 Travel throughout the Northern Region up to 50% with the possibility of overnight travel
