SUMMARY The Senior Surgical Technician is a clinician who provides intra-operative technical assistance to physicians and Registered Nurses (RN) who care for patients experiencing a surgical intervention or other invasive procedure. This role actively participates in the work of the unit, committee work, and program level activities and projects and role models exemplary work standards. Job Information: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. 1. Assists with room turnovers and set-ups; restocks and orders supplies; utilizes downtime effectively; and participates in department quality improvement activities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology Experience: Two years of general OR experience Equivalency: Graduate of a military training program in surgical technology or a Diploma in Surgical Technology with a surgical technologist certification may be considered in lieu of an Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology. Certification(s): American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers at time of hire. NBSTSA or NCCT Certified Surgical Technologist Licensure(s): State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant Registration Salary Information As part of our Total Rewards package, Children's Colorado offers an annual employee bonus program that rewards eligible team members based on organizational performance.
