 Pediatric Ophthalmic Technician Inova Childrens Multispecialty Clinic at Willo Oak's in Fairfax, VA is seeking a dedicated Ophthalmic Technician to join the Pediatric multidisciplinary team. Ophthalmic Technician Job Responsibilities: 
 
   
 - The Ophthalmic Technician performs comprehensive testing and eye evaluations to ensure optimum vision for all Eye Clinic patients. 
 - Performs various testing (e.g. visual field tests, acuity testing, color vision testing, potential acuity meter testing, biometric A-scans, external and slit lamp examinations, and pachymetry testing).
 - Utilizes standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery by incorporating data and information to continuously improve care and practice while enhancing patient outcomes. 
 - Conducts routine cleaning, maintenance, calibration, and minor adjustments/repairs on all clinic equipment. Notifies the appropriate department for additional maintenance. Performs the surgical scheduling process for all Eye Clinic patients.
 - Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others while showing respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.
 - May perform additional duties as assigned.
 
  
 
 
Minimum Qualifications: 
 
   
 - Education: High School diploma or GED
 - Experience: Two years as an Ophthalmic Technician 
  
  
     
   - Experience working with pediatric population, highly preferred
 
     
    
  
 
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
 
   
 - Ophthalmic technician certification, highly preferred
