Job Position: Benefits Specialist Location: Onsite - 150 Hilton Drive, Jeffersonville, Indiana, 47130, United States Duration: 4 months Pay Rate: $21/hour Overview: We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to support patient access and insurance verification efforts in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role involves both outbound and inbound communication with patients and providers, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, empathy, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: * Make approximately 10 outbound calls per day to clarify missing or unclear benefit details * Conduct full benefit investigations using a provided script and call guide * Handle inbound patient calls regarding application status and missing information * Document benefit findings in the Summary of Benefits for provider use * Maintain thorough and accurate case notes in the Lynk system Required Skills: * Customer service * Health insurance knowledge * Call center experience * Medical terminology * Insurance verification * Patient access workflows * Familiarity with medical claims Top Skills: * Customer service * Health insurance * Call center operations * Medical terminology Preferred Qualifications: * Strong attention to detail and accuracy * Adaptability to changing processes and priorities * Patient-centric communication style: professional, kind, and empathetic * Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel experience is a plus * Ability to manage high volumes of calls and data * Experience in benefit verification for pharmaceuticals is a plus but not required Must-Have Experience: * Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes * Previous call center experience * Proven customer service skills Experience Level: Intermediate This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with healthcare support experience who thrive in structured, high-volume environments and are passionate about delivering clear, compassionate service.
