Job Summary: |
This Education Coordinator, under the direction from the Academic Services Program Director, is responsible for coordinating the Neurology Residency Program within the Neurology Department. This position will work closely with the Vice Chair of Education and Residency Director. The coordinator represents the neurology education programs on behalf of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office, the Department of Neurology, the School of Medicine (Undergraduate Medical Education), and the University of Colorado Denver. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the day-to-day administration of the Neurology Residency Program (~36 residents) and ensure program goals and objectives are accomplished. Provide guidance to residents, faculty and staff on program, hospital, GME policies and all other non-clinical aspects of the program. Coordinates educational activities (e.g., didactic conference schedule, attendance, speakers etc.) that support the program's curriculum and adhere to ACGME requirements. Provides assistance to educational events as needed including various education conferences, graduation, residency events, etc. Coordinates creation, dissemination and monitoring of resident, faculty, and program evaluations. Manages resident electives. Assists in supporting compliance to GME policies and procedures and related departmental policies. Assists in the coordination of the resident recruitment and selection process. Onboard new residents. This includes all badging, security access, EPIC training, parking access, state licensure applications, Medicaid forms and other GME forms as needed. Coordinates all required electronic and hard copy recordkeeping and data services for the Residency Program. Manage MedHub and WebADS, online programs required by GME and ACGME for reporting as well as support the development of reports and maintain records for the University or national accreditation boards using data sources or other reporting tools as needed. Coordinates Semi-Annual Meetings between Program Director and Resident (schedule, prepare training file/required documentation/log dates into MedHub demographics). Distribute, track, and maintain the personnel files of residents who enter and leave the program. Maintains resident schedules and leave request in MedHub. Coordinate and participate in clinical competency committee meetings, program evaluation committee meetings, and strategic planning meetings to ensure compliance with the various accreditation bodies (ACGME, ABPN, GME, etc.). Coordinate accreditation activities including ACGME Site Visits, and annual program reviews by working.

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications: Intermediate Level:
A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
One (1) year of professional experience in higher education supporting medical students, residency, and/or Fellowships.
Senior Level:
A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Two (2) years of professional experience in higher education supporting medical students, residency, and/or Fellowships.
Principal Level:
A bachelor's degree in education, psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
Three (3) years of professional experience in higher education supporting medical students, residency, and/or Fellowships.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), the electronic Residency Select System (ERAS), onCall (AmIOn), and MedHub. Knowledge of or ability to learn how to maintain databases in Microsoft Access or other database management systems. Ability to manipulate web-based reporting systems. Excellent organizational skills, with ability to plan and organize residency needs and activities, establish work priorities, and provide follow-through to ensure completion of all activities. Attention to detail, computer sophistication, ability to manipulate web-based report systems, and ability to work with residents and faculty in a competent and professional manner. Software used will continue to change, so adaptability to new electronic programs and tools is essential. Ability to understand and apply regulatory requirements at the program level. Ability to communicate effectively with administrative personnel, physicians and other program personnel, trainees and prospective trainees, staff, and other constituents, in written communications and oral presentations. Ability to maintain professional and customer service-oriented interpersonal skills working with residents and others in an environment of high intensity and stress.

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as: Intermediate Level: $48,989 - $62,314 Senior Level: $52,961 - $67,367 Principal Level: $60,905 - $77,472 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
