Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Development Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers offers hands-on experience in the design, development, and testing of innovative products. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to real-world projects that impact our customers and business.

What You'll Do
You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, influence others, and be an owner every day as you...

* Assist in the design and hands-on prototyping of new products and components.
* Perform testing and validation of prototypes and existing products.
* Analyze data and prepare technical reports and documentation.
* Support engineering team in CAD modeling, simulations, and design reviews.
* Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.
* Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and marketing teams to ensure product feasibility and alignment.

What You Bring
The needed skills and experience for this role include...

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
* Basic understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycle.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Passion for innovation and eagerness to learn.

Additional preferred skills include:
o Experience with prototyping tools and techniques (e.g., 3D printing, machining).
o Knowledge of product testing standards and methodologies.
o Exposure to project management tools.

Education
* Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's of Mechanical Engineering (or closely related) program at an accredited college or university.
* If enrolled in a Bachelor's program, you need to have completed at least the first two years of the program.
* Completed Statics/Mechanics and 1 semester of Physics.
* minimum GPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale)

Qualifications

* Must be authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.

* Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or withoutaccommodations
