Responsibilities

The Surety Producer will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to provide surety bonds and related services. This role requires a deep understanding of the surety market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively. This is a business development role with an associated commission and base salary structure.

The Surety Producer will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders to provide surety bonds and related services. This role requires a deep understanding of the surety market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple accounts effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their surety needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate terms and conditions of surety bonds.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and financial analyses to determine the suitability of clients for surety bonds.
  • Prepare and present proposals to clients, explaining the benefits and terms of surety bonds.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely renewals and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and market conditions to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Participate in networking events and industry conferences to promote the company's surety services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in the surety industry.
  • Strong knowledge of surety bonds, underwriting processes, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Professional certifications such as AFSB (Associate in Fidelity and Surety Bonding) are a plus.

Education:

  • High School Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's degree, Desired

Travel:

  • Some travel required

Experience/Skills:

  • [5] years of experience in surety and bonding, ideally within an independent insurance brokerage setting.
  • Strong knowledge of surety products, underwriting, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Results-driven with a commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Compensation: Base salary commensurate with experience and commission structure based on sales performance.
