Job Description
The Regional Fleet Manager oversees the performance, maintenance, and compliance of our vehicle fleet across multiple locations within a designated region. This role is critical to ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness in our transportation and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Fleet Oversight & Optimization
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the regional fleet, including tank trucks, vacuum trucks, dry vans and tank trailers
- Monitor vehicle utilization and help balance the fleet where excess fleet is domiciled
- Implement fleet management software and analytics tools to track performance metrics.
- Maintenance & Compliance
- Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, inspected, and serviced according to company and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with service providers and internal teams for timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, registrations, insurance, and compliance documentation.
- Perform follow-up inspections on repairs performed by local vendors to ensure safety, quality and completeness
- Team Leadership
- Act as a liaison between repair shops and the operation to get vehicles repaired timely and returned to service
- Provide training and guidance on safety protocols, vehicle operation, and company policies.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Budget & Vendor Management
- Develop and work cross-functionally to manage regional fleet budgets, including fuel, maintenance, leasing, and procurement.
- Audit pricing and work with vendors to ensure maximum savings
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategic initiatives to reduce expenses.
- Reporting & Strategy
- Prepare regular reports on fleet performance, costs, and compliance for senior management.
- Collaborate with fleet services, operations, and safety teams to align fleet strategy with business goals.
- Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting fleet operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, transportation, or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, vehicle maintenance, and fleet technologies.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing fleets across multiple locations or regions.
- Familiarity with sustainability initiatives (e.g., EV integration, fuel efficiency).
- Certification in fleet management (e.g., NAFA CAFM) is a plus
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, management, and suppliers.
- Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop effective solutions to logistical challenges.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in record-keeping and compliance.
- This position will have some office time but the expectation is that 50%-75% of the week travel to various Crystal Clean locations.
- Standard working hours apply, with the possibility of overtime during peak periods or emergencies.

The average annual earning potential for this position is $85,000 - $100,000, and includes benefits such as the following:
