TITLE: Scheduling Coordinator B
POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of production activities within the paper manufacturing facility. The primary objective is to ensure that production schedules align with customer demand, optimize equipment utilization, and meet quality and delivery targets. The Scheduling Coordinator serves as a liaison between production, maintenance, procurement, and customer service teams to facilitate seamless workflow and communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- And Associates in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in production scheduling or coordination, preferably in a manufacturing environment (paper manufacturing experience is a plus.)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and production planning methodologies.
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft office and general computer programs.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, maintain, and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, and equipment availability.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, procurement, and logistics teams to align scheduling with raw material delivery and outbound shipments.
- Monitor and update production schedules in real-time to reflect changes in priorities or operational constraints.
- Ensure that all scheduled work aligns with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Analyze workflow, capacity constraints, and downtime to propose schedule improvements and reduce bottlenecks.
- Generate and distribute production reports and KPIs for internal stakeholders
- Track and report deviations from schedule, coordinating corrective actions when needed.
- Participate in production meetings to provide status updates and scheduling forecasts.
- Assist in inventory control by providing input on production output and finished goods availability.
- Complete paperwork on a timely basis.
- Must maintain good housekeeping.
- Must follow all plant and safety rules and regulations, written or verbal.
- Any other duties as assigned by manager and/or delegation requests.
