Your Opportunity as the Health Safety & Environmental Senior Manager Help our manufacturing sites implement our HSE Key Element program and improve systems to ensure on-going compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.Champion our Technical Safety Key Elements which include Welding Safety, Process Safety Management, Pressure Vessels, Thermal Systems, Combustible Dusts, Ignitable Liquids, Fire Protection, Electrical Power and Safety, and Change Management. Location: Remote; must live within a 1 hour radius of a major airport Work Arrangements: Travel up to 25% per year In this Role You Will:
Be responsible for leading the development, implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety, and environmental programs across the organization. Will provide strategic direction to sites while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Drive initiatives that reduce risk and improve operational performance. Promote a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture. Coach and mentor HSE Managers across the organization to strengthen organizational capability. Coordinate and participate in external HS&E Key Element assessments with all Smucker sites. Coordinate HS&E Key Element improvements with our Corporate Risk Group. Develop, deliver, and evaluate HSE training and qualification programs for site resources. Summarize and communicate monthly HSE performance metrics to leadership. Partner with site leaders to identify opportunities and implement initiatives that improve HSE results. Coordinate and lead monthly HS&E Technical Safety Network conference calls Provide training for HSE Key Element system owners to ensure effective implementation and compliance. Serve as co-technology administrator for HS&E Team Space, Intelex, Versik 3E and other key platforms.

Bachelor's Degree 5+ years of Engineering, Operations, or HS&E experience in a manufacturing environment Background in supporting compliance related activities Proven ability to develop, lead, and implement action plans related to health and safety Ability to interface with employees at all levels of the Organization Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
An Engineering or related degree Experience in Occupational Safety, Environmental or science related field; engineering; or risk management Manufacturing and corporate experience Experience coaching, developing, and leading others People management experience Food (pet or human) and / or beverage experience
