Position: Community Health Worker I Location: Mercy Clinic North St. Louis Shift: FT Days - 40/hrs per week We're a Little Different Our mission is clear. Overview: A community health worker is a front-line public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the worker to serve as a liaison/link between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Qualifications: Education:High School Diploma or equivalent Experience: One (1) year health care or social services experience Other Skills and Knowledge: Strong relationship and collaboration skills Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently Compassion for poor and underserved members of the community Basic Microsoft Office skills Preferred Experience:Community Health Worker Certification if available Other Skills and Knowledge: Additional language skills as applicable to community We Offer Great Incentives:
