Job Description
Position Overview


Process Bi-weekly/Weekly/Canadian payroll using computerized systems. Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll-related information and the ability to deal sensitively with confidential material. Primary responsibility is for timely and accurate processing of time and attendance data necessary to process payroll, including data entry and audit of hours and wage. Knowledge of state-by-state rules including Canada. Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication and customer service skills. Ability to process, prioritize, organize, and multi-task daily work activities in a fast-paced and rapidly expanding environment. Ability to work overtime as needed.


Responsibilities


  • Process and review of all Garnishments/Tax Levies/Support orders as necessary including setup of correct garnishments calculations and compliance.
  • Handle all payroll activities as it relates to processing payroll and manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely. This includes special payments as required. Respond to all store and business unit inquiries. Assist with, review, and follow up on payroll-related requests as needed. May be responsible for additional payroll-related processes as needed.
  • Create and run reports as needed.
  • Maintain and apply current knowledge of laws and regulations related to payroll taxes, wage and hour legislation, and company policies.
  • Adhere to internal control processes including payroll balancing and other internal control compliance.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of applicable payroll experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and computer skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills (i.e. Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas)
  • Ability to read and understand garnishments
  • Experience working with ADP Vantage HCM payroll system, ADP Reporting and ADP WFM preferred. Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  • Ability to understand and run Canadian payroll strongly preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

$12.00 - $37.73 / hour

The annual salary/hourly rate range has been established based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. The exact starting salary/hourly rate within the range will depend on the role and the local market. This position may be eligible to participate in one of the Company's incentive plans. The amount of any incentive payment varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
