Pay Rate: $24.00/hr

Purpose

Perform inventory checks to improve data and physical stock accuracy.

Core Responsibilities



  • Maintain inventory data in inventory systems and generate reports to conduct physical checks.
  • Monitor inventory integrity.
  • Maintain product identification and location information.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and make necessary corrections.
  • Monitor physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations performed by the warehouse team(s).
  • Track and report non-conforming or obsolete materials/products.
  • Maintain Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management (and customers as appropriate).
  • Coordinate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
  • Train warehouse staff in proper inventory control techniques and practices as well as reporting requirements to improve inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Liaise with the warehouse/logistics manager and site controller on critical or expensive Inventory Adjustments.
  • Conduct daily physical cycle counts of warehouse inventory
  • Investigate and research inventory discrepancies
  • Reconcile physical and systematic discrepancies reports
  • Strong analytical skills



Academic Background



  • Vocational diploma in logistics



Professional Experience



  • Overall work experience of 4 to 5 years in logistics in a manufacturing environment



Technical Skills



  • Solid knowledge of warehouse process flow
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving protocol
  • Good knowledge of material/product safety/security norms and regulations
  • Knowledge of supply chain dependencies and processes
  • Good knowledge of production process flow and scheduling
  • Operation of computers - desktop, and hand held for receiving, and real time inventory updates and customer order shipments
  • Working Knowledge of SAP
  • Other tasks assigned by supervisor/manager
