The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Position Summary Under the supervision of the PI, the Research Staff Assistant will support research activities in Columbia's Social and Moral Cognition Lab. Studies in the lab focus on how children and adults understand their social world. We are currently investigating how people in different age groups make moral decisions, reason about and interact with people who are different from them, reason about supernatural entities (e.g., God), and perceive the criminal justice system. Applicants must submit a resume and cover letter to be considered for this role. The cover letter should be 1-2 pages long and include research interests, past research experiences, and a list of three professional references (including names, e-mails, and phone numbers). This is a one-year position with the possibility of extension if additional funding is secured. Responsibilities
