Carries out the testing or inspection of raw materials and/or products in different stages of the production process by production cell in accordance with established quality standards.

DUTIES

  • Carries out the testing and/or inspection of raw materials and/or products in different stages of production processes such as dimensions, mechanical and electrical features, or functioning of items in accordance with established quality standards or during failure analysis processes.
  • Registers statistical test and/or inspection information to aid in determining and maintaining product quality and reliability using Quality Control procedures.
  • Prepares product discrepancy reports.
  • Carries out segregation and handling of rejected lots up to their final disposition.
  • Captures information for control charts that are properly maintained and serve as effective means of Preventive and/or Corrective Action.
  • Informs immediate supervisor about any deviation from established quality standards.
  • Participates in updating inspection techniques and process controls.
  • Assists in transferring products and processes by aiding the quality team with cosmetic, dimensional, or functional evaluations during new product introductions or transfers.
  • Responsible for receiving RMA (Return Material Authorization) and RA (Return Authorization) material for inspection, posting, and entering into the quality system.
  • Has the authority to stop the production process when required and when a risk in the quality of the product is detected.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience as a quality inspector.
  • Strong understanding of electronic assembly processes, SMT, and through-hole technologies.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and production tracking tools.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, D365 and ShopVue preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity to handle small components and tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this full-time non-exempt position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour plus benefits. Pay ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay rates for this position. Within the range, actual individual compensation is determined by various factors, including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
