Overview
Financial Counselor The Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center is looking for a Financial Counselor to join our Eugene location! As a Financial Counselor, you will be tasked with assisting the new patients in understanding their insurance coverage of treatments. By collecting demographic and insurance information, you will get a full explanation of coverage and benefits, laying out what patients can expect for out of pocket expenses. You will also assist them in repayment plans to help minimize the additional financial stress of oncology treatments. Previous experience working with medical insurance is required, along with a compassionate heart for service. Come be an advocate and guide for our patients! This role will also support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. The general pay scale for this position at WVCI is $19.81 - $40.54. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc. Employment Type: Full Time, FTE 1.0 Benefits: M/D/V, Life Ins., 401(k) Responsibilities
