The US Oncology Network is looking for a Part-time Internal Communications Intern to join our team! This position will support the Texas Oncology Corporate Marketing Team in Dallas or Austin, Texas.

What does the Internal Communications Intern do?

This position will support the internal communications team with distribution list creation, communications templates, as well as gathering data on existing communications platforms and potential channels to drive continuous improvement in communications. This position will also potentially assist in the logistic and administrative tasks for internal events.


Responsibilities

The essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning and coordination of internal events including scheduling, developing communications/invitations and post-event surveys.
  • Support the internal communications team in creating content for weekly, monthly, and quarterly email digests.
  • Help monitor and track the success of internal communications email campaigns and events providing regular updates and survey results to the team.
  • Help create engaging content (graphics, copy, videos) to boost internal communications engagement.
  • Monitor internal communications team email for requests, questions, and follow up opportunities.
  • Assist in collecting and editing content from different teams to maintain consistency and relevance.
  • Assist the internal communication team with day-to-day tasks and projects as needed.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on internal communications trends, and best practices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft O365 platforms and digital marketing principles.
  • Preferred to be based in Texas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Enthusiasm for marketing and communications with a willingness to learn and contribute.
