Job Title: Contracts Manager and Paralegal

Location: Conyers, GA or Richmond, VA or Phoenix, AZ - Hybrid

What we're looking for:

We are looking for a Contract Manager or Paralegal Professional to join our Dover Food Retail team. This individual should have a working knowledge of contracting and legal principles, a commitment to developing strong customer and supplier relationships, and a wide complex of business competencies, knowledge and awareness that allow for a flexible and adaptive approach to addressing risk and opportunities in a competitive industry environment.

We are also looking for a professional who can balance applying applicable laws and regulations in support of providing recommendations to business stakeholders and leaders and in the preparation, draft, and review of agreements that achieve business objectives, adhere to corporate guidelines, and meet the needs and requirements of our clients. An ideal candidate would be highly organized, decisive and confident, and works well in a matrixed, team environment.

What you'll be responsible for in this role:

  • Manage the businesses Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) reviews and contract management process
  • Review, negotiate, and help compose a wide variety of agreements, including master services agreements, supply agreements, NDAs, distribution agreements, and sales agreements
  • Drive reporting, action tracking, and process/systems analysis activities under agreed reporting frames to support business and procurement decisions
  • To build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization, across all business functions and to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Support DFR General Counsel with all legal and compliance matters and trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned

What are the basic qualifications?

  • Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies
  • Minimum 2 years commercial contract management and negotiation experience

  • A well-rounded process and/or systems professional with sound business acumen
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with sufficient gravitas and credibility to be able to influence stakeholders at all levels (both internal and external)
  • Able to learn different software systems including a contracts' learning management database
  • Knowledge of corporate ethics and compliance processes
