Position Summary: The Team Leader, Distribution is a functional role that provides guidance, work levelling, assistance, and leadership to a team of Material Handlers and Drivers. To assure team continuity across all warehouse operations, this position is expected to gain and maintain knowledge of all aspects of Warehouse Operations functional execution with limited exception. The role works collaboratively with key business partners to ensure timeliness of execution, replenishment, accuracy, condition, and / or other. Interacting with all aspects of STERIS to meet business requirements. Shift: 6am - 2:30pm Location: Plymouth, MN What You'll Do: Assure staff remain level loaded throughout the shift, adjusting as needed in areas of assignment Primary contact point for other functional groups to reduce Specialist distraction Lead troubleshooting issues as they arise Assist in staff assessments, assignments, training plans, and projects Assist in the development of improvement strategies and execution plans Support and foster team empowerment and lead by example Cycle Counting coordination and / or execution Follow all provided control procedures and policies to complete tasks Lead engagement activities assuring promotion of a safe work environment Functionally work within team to complete shop floor execution daily requirements Lead coordination efforts and flow of product through the areas of report including but not limited to transacting, storage, labelling, movement, packaging,shipment, and return from field and or stock Skills, Abilities, & Experience: Required: 5 years related disciplines experience required Ability to become Forklift Certified General proficiencies in Microsoft Office and ERP Ability to work independently and as a team in a fast paced, changing environment Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance Preferred: Previous forklift experience: counterbalance, stock picker, reach truck General proficiency in SAP and/or strong ERP/WMS system expereince Comprehensive knowledge of general and specific aspects of the position and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily required Previous training & leadership experience Expereince working with inventory desrepancies and/or investigations Previous experience with continuous improvement (CI) Working knowldege of 5S principals Other: Meet all ADA factors as detailed: Continuously (67-100% of the time): Lift/Carry 10-50lbs, sitting, light grasping, keyboarding, writing, operating heavy machinery, seeing/depth perception Frequently (34-66% of the time): Lift/Carry 51-100lbs, Push/Pull 10-100lbs, bend/twist, reach below the knee, reach above the shoulder, repetitive foot & leg motion, operate power tools, speaking, and hearing Up to 100% sitting, standing and walking in an 8-hour workday, more if working overtime Ability to continuously wear personal protective equipment and/or clean room attire Ability to work overtime as required Ability to operate power tools/equipment and hand tools Ability to work with or around chemicals Safety Sensitive Position What STERIS Offers: We value our employees and are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports your health, well-being, and financial future. This position is eligible forbonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
