Department:FIN | Reimb ProgramsDepartment's Website: Summary of Job Duties:The Senior Contracts Analyst provides senior level support to the managed care contracting leaders, providing analytical and research support across a wide variety of concepts, practices and procedures necessary to meet the goals of the department. Key responsibilities include financial analysis of hospital and professional contract activity and performance, including comparative performance analysis, modeling proposed contracts, scenarios and other changes impacting reimbursement; analyses include assessing the impact of Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare & commercial fee schedule/reimbursement policy changes; researching reimbursement and payer policies and preparing summaries for internal teams for a variety of contract types and reimbursement methodologies, including fee-for-service, global transplant, value based; loading, supporting, maintaining managed care contracts and fee schedules within the contract management system.The Senior Contracts Analyst will assist with resolution of contract issues that impact reimbursement and/or operational processes, frequently liaising between UAMS internal teams and payers; generate periodic (monthly, quarterly, etc.) standard reports and compilation of data to stay abreast of regulatory and market trends using various software and reporting tools and coordinating both internal and external meetings, assisting with managing projects and tracking contract negotiation. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Health Care Management or associated field of study plus six (6) years of experience in reporting, analysis and/or managed care contracting in healthcare and/or payer setting, OR Associate's plus 8 years of of experience in reporting, analysis and/or managed care contracting in healthcare and/or payer setting, OR HS plus 10 years of experience in reporting, analysis and/or managed care contracting in healthcare and/or payer setting.

Additional Information: Additionally, the Senior Analyst position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse internal teams and payer representatives, with a working knowledge of managed care contracts, benefit plans and reimbursement methodologies; strong skills and experience with Microsoft Excel and Word; Microsoft Access is a plus.
