Summary of Job Duties:The Director of Broadcast Operations and Content Development will serve as the ESPN+ Producer/Coordinator of productions for the Trojan Athletic Department. This position will serve as a vital member of the Little Rock Athletic Communications staff to further promote Trojan Athletics. The ESPN+ Broadcast Producer will ensure that Little Rock Athletics puts on high-quality productions that meet the required and expected standards of ESPN and the Ohio Valley Conference, including all required sponsor elements and commercial obligations. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Qualifications:

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree;

  • At least one year of experience in live sports production.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate and produce the Darrell Walker Coaches Show during basketball season to air on ESPN+;

  • Serve as the athletic department liaison working with the UA Little Rock School of Mass Communications, assisting with coordinating staffing and training of students to produce live ESPN+ productions;

  • Serve as Little Rock's representative with both the Ohio Valley Conference and ESPN for broadcast operations;

  • Serve as the producer and overseeing ESPN+ broadcasts for all Little Rock home events. This will include the set-up and take down of cameras and equipment needed to produce games at the Jack Stephens Center, Coleman Sports Complex, and Gary Hogan Field;

  • Producing graphics and storylines for broadcasts;

  • Coordinate with on-air talent during broadcasts and schedule/oversee game day staff necessary to broadcast events on ESPN+

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience in non-linear editing (Adobe Create Suite preferred) and familiarity working with DSLR and camera operations along with NewTek and Ross applications;

  • An understanding of a production room and the different roles/responsibilities associated with the different positions and technical knowledge of those roles;

  • Ability to work nights and weekends whenever Little Rock home athletic events occur;

  • Ability to meet short deadlines and the ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced athletic environment.
