JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Program Area: Aquatics

Position: Manager

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage rental billing, tracking outstanding payments, and following up with groups as needed.

  • Generate and submit monthly participant and budget reports, identifying trends and providing recommendations for program improvements.

  • Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and supplies; place orders in collaboration with professional staff to ensure program needs are met.

  • Create event play sheets and set-up diagrams

  • Support setup and breakdown of rental events, assisting with equipment logistics and staff coordination.

  • Assist in creating and maintaining rental process documentation and recommend updates for efficiency.

  • Any other duties as assigned.

Personal/Professional Development and Responsibilities

  • Document student staff performance, both positive and negative, via written forms to provide feedback to employees, forwarding to professional staff.

  • Be receptive to professional and personal development opportunities.

  • Balance time commitments effectively between academics and employment.

  • Give and receive feedback in a constructive manner.

  • Function as a contributing member of the Campus Recreation team.

Expectations

  • Utilize When to Work to communicate work availability to supervisors and co-workers.

  • Respectfully manage disagreements, model positive rapport with patrons and employees.

  • Exercise decisive decision-making in the absence of professional staff.

  • Role model appropriate behavior at all times, including in online communities.

  • Maintain regular and frequent communication with supervisory team.

  • Ability to interact with diverse groups through a variety of situations.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to positively interact with student staff, rental clients, and patrons.

  • Ability to work independently and with attention to detail.

  • Promote Campus Recreation programs and services.

  • Must complete all child clearances if required by rental group or program:

  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check

  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance

  • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

  • Complete all necessary LRN trainings.

  • Minimum of 1 year of Campus Recreation Employment preferred.

  • Work a minimum of 10 hours per week in the Student Manager role.

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
