Staffmark is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join a local law firm in Lafayette, LA. If you have experience in insurance defense, maritime law, and federal or appellate court filing, along with strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills, we want to hear from you!

Shift: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Requirements:



  • 1-2 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant
  • 3+ years of experience in Insurance Defense work as a Paralegal
  • Experience with medical records, deposition summaries, and medical chronologies
  • Experience managing subpoenas and IMEs
  • Strong communication and writing skills, including excellent grammar
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong typing, research, analysis, and critical thinking skills



Paralegal Responsibilities:



  • Summarize heavy medical records
  • Schedule IMEs and handle records submissions
  • Assist with other legal administrative tasks as needed
