Supply Chain Operations (SCOPS): Our Supply Chain Operations team is the backbone of Trimble's product delivery, ensuring excellence from sourcing to fulfillment. We focus on building resilient, high-quality, and scalable global networks that enable our technology to reach customers efficiently and reliably.

What Makes This Role Great: In this role, you'll serve as the ultimate technical authority for supplier quality, moving beyond "firefighting" to proactively shape the future of our global mechanical supply base. You will have the unique opportunity to design and deliver the training programs that build our organizational capability, directly influencing the reliability and excellence of Trimble's industry-leading hardware.

Key Exciting Responsibilities

  • Define Technical Excellence: Establish and maintain global supplier quality standards, serving as the senior reviewer for complex deliverables like DFM, 8D, and SPC/Cpk.

  • Lead the Supplier Lifecycle: Drive quality strategy from initial qualification and launch readiness through to performance management and escalation governance.

  • Standardize Proactive Planning: Prevent quality issues before they reach production by leading and standardizing Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Readiness Review (RR) programs.

  • Drive Governance & Recovery: Own issue governance for critical quality events, facilitating cross-functional problem-solving and leading the charge on formal corrective actions.

  • Build Future Capability: Design and deliver training in core SQE practices, mentoring team members to ensure a high-performing and disciplined quality organization.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 8-12+ years of supplier quality engineering experience specifically with mechanical parts (castings, machining, metal fabrication).

  • Demonstrated mastery of quality methodologies including 8D, SPC/Cpk, and evidence-based signoff.

  • Proven ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.

  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting technical tradeoffs to senior leadership.

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Bonus Points For

  • ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt.

  • Experience in workflow optimization, lean process improvement, or automation.

  • DFM (Design for Manufacturing) expertise

  • Lead auditor experience or supplier audit program leadership.

  • M.S. in Engineering or a related field.

Logistics

  • Location: Huber Heights, Ohio (Onsite: minimum 4 days/week)

  • Travel Requirement: Up to 25%, including international travel

Compensation: Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
