About the opportunity

SWCA seeks a full-time experienced Content Marketing Manager - Communications to lead our communications marketing team. The content marketing team manages a wide variety of external and internal communications including thought leadership and project storytelling, PR and media relations, employer brand, and internal communications. As content marketing manager, you will play a key role in packaging and delivering the successes, expert perspectives, and employee experiences that bring SWCA's value proposition to life. You will also lead and inspire a team of communication professionals, providing guidance and mentorship, while fostering a growth-oriented environment.

This is a full-time, regular (with benefits) salaried, remote position.

What you will accomplish

  • Lead a subset of the Content Marketing team responsible for internal and external communications by providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to ensure effective content creation and delivery.
  • Create and implement an integrated content marketing strategy across various platforms to strengthen SWCA's brand position and foster engagement while introducing new strategies as appropriate.
  • Track and manage projects and content campaigns from ideation to completion, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Define key messaging pillars and story themes to unify content across PR, marketing, internal comms, and employer brand efforts.
  • Create and manage the implementation of proactive and reactive media strategies.
  • Lead internal communications strategy and implementation, ensuring all internal audiences are considered, and delivering quality communications across the organization.
  • Lead the internal communications team in partnering with various stakeholders to support the communication of internal initiatives, milestones, and cultural stories.
  • Develop content and campaigns that showcase what makes our company a unique and fulfilling place to work.
  • Provide oversight for bringing the employee experience to life across career pages, social content, and job postings
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement by defining objectives and tracking/reporting results on an ongoing basis to inform marketing tactics and drive to business targets.
  • Document and implement standard operating procedures for the Content Marketing team.
  • Collaboratively develop expectations and goals for your team, while monitoring individual performance.
  • Edit and ghost-write leadership communications as needed.
  • Partner with various team members to ensure content, campaign and asset compliance with brand guidelines.
  • Innovate and incubate new approaches that can be scaled as resources across the organization.

Experience and qualifications for success

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of professional experience in communications or content strategy required.
  • Proven experience in communications management with a focus on operations and team leadership; minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and editing skills for multiple mediums (applicants will be asked to provide writing samples during the application process).
  • Strong internal communications experience, including executive comms and organizational change narratives.
  • A strategic thinker who also delivers-able to balance planning with nimble execution.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and business objectives into compelling communication strategies.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively across all levels and departments.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

Preferred

  • 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • Experience in the environmental or AEC industries.
  • Hands-on experience with media and public relations.

An employee in this National based position can expect an annual salary between $84,884/year-$112,444/year. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
